On the shortened ascenders, looks pretty good, maybe you went a touch too far? It'll be easier to see on the pdf. Don't forget the /l/! Those flipped serifs make a huge difference in "flow,"…2 -

I'd agree that no cupping but tilted looks most satisfactory of those options.1 -

You might try just a little bit of incline and/or a little bit of cupping, so that the overall effect remains straight but the contour continues the liveliness of the rest of the letter.4 -
